A few years ago, shortly after this place opened I thought they were kind of expensive compared to other Chinese food places in the area. Although the other places got way more expensive than they used to be and quality went down!, At Bao’s quality stayed the same, and the price only went up a little bit. I was very impressed and wish I tried them again sooner, the food fresh, good quality and tasty. The dining area is very clean. The staff could be a little more friendly, the food came out pretty quickly for our two person to-go order while we did a quick run to H-E-B. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I wish we read the reviews before getting dinner to-go from here but we just walked in. Now reading people mentioning lack luster flavor and a few even finding their food under cooked.. possibly a staple here & there.. I can agree everything was quite bland. We covered it up with soy sauce at home to not be wasteful after spending about $55 and that turned out to be our second mistake. We ordered: shrimp lo mein, edemame, crab puffs, shrimp puff, & a seafood deluxe. My husband and I have been up all night with food poisoning. We basically slept in each bathroom. Buyer beware. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

Bao's Cafe it my favorite spot to come during lunch. I highly recommended the lunch specials and you can never go wrong with any order. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
