Bar Akari is a quaint pub and bar nestled in the heart of 3 Chome Akasaka, Minato. Known for its cozy and casual atmosphere, this bar provides a welcoming environment reminiscent of having drinks with friends in your own living room. It is a place where guests can enjoy various offerings, including a selection of alcohol, beer, spirits, and food. Despite its intimate setting, it has been praised in the past for creating memorable experiences, partly due to its friendly and English-speaking host, Miyuki.
The establishment offers dine-in options and table service, though takeaway and delivery services are not available. Amenities include a toilet, but prospective visitors should note the lack of wheelchair-accessible parking or entrance. Planning to visit? It’s best to make a reservation ahead given the small size and popularity hinted at by past reviews. The bar accommodates payments via Rakuten Pay, providing convenience for those using this method.
Operating hours run from Monday through Saturday, opening in the evenings at 20:00 and closing in the early hours of the morning at 2:00. The price level here is a moderate one. However, it's important to note that there haven't been any recent updates or reviews in the past six years, leaving some details about any changes to the establishment unknown. For anyone looking for a casual night out, Bar Akari may well be worth a visit if you're open to an experience rooted in older, yet positive guest feedback.

Miyuka was an incredible bartender who has been running this bar for around 20 years. The drinks were incredible but even more so it feels like you are walking into someone’s home bar for them to make you some drinks. The bar is VERY small but in the best way possible. Me and my partner had 8 or 9 premium drinks total for around 12,000 yen Price per person: ¥4,000–5,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had such a wonderful time hanging out with Miyuki! She is such a delightful person- we came in for a gin and tonic and ended up staying for hours and had a great time talking with her. Truly one of the highlights of our Tokyo trip. If you’re seeing this review and looking for a small bar intimate setting, this is your place! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
