The food and the atmosphere were nice but the service is very slow. It took half an hour to get two cold drinks and two cakes. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve been to Brecha many times, and every single time everything tastes incredible! I usually order a the Tostón Veggie, always a favorite, fresh and super tasty. For sweets, with a friend we’ve tried the tarta de ricota y pasas and the carrot cake which they NEVER miss, both comforting and really well made. We also have tried laminado de chocolate, submarinos, coffee all have been done right! The place is small, but honestly worth the wait for a table, or making a reservation if you can. The people are kind, service is fast, and everything flows easily even when it’s busy. One of those spots you keep coming, the place is an institution of downtown Montevideo.
