The hostess/waitress made our experience extremely unpleasant from the moment we arrived. She was unwelcoming, uncooperative, and outright rude — acting as though seating us was doing us a favor rather than providing a service. The treatment was so uncomfortable that we had no choice but to leave before even being served.

When we walked into Bar Sur Mer ( a month ago), the vibe was fantastic. The place had a really nice atmosphere, the food was great, and the drinks were on point. Overall, we were really enjoying the ambiance. The downside was the service from the particular lady who served us. It wasn’t busy at all, but when we asked her to switch to a more comfortable seating area, she gave us a look that made us feel like we were bothering her. A little friendliness would have made a big difference. (we asked to change the seat before ordering just to clarify things). Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
