Let’s start with the food, exceptional from beginning to end. The cacio e pepe was easily one of the best we have ever had, perfectly prepared, incredibly flavourful, and everything you hope for from a true Roman classic. And the freshly made tiramisu was simply incredible, the perfect way to finish an already fantastic meal. Every bite made the experience more special. But what really elevated the evening was the warmth and hospitality. Emanuel, our waiter, was absolutely wonderful. He treated us with such genuine kindness and care that we immediately felt at home. His attention, warmth, and wonderful service made us feel like guests rather than customers, and he truly helped make the evening unforgettable. And just when we thought the evening couldn’t get any better, Luca gave us a fascinating tour of the Republican Roman ruins beneath the restaurant. Being able to step downstairs and discover these ancient ruins hidden underneath a restaurant in the heart of Rome was absolutely incredible. It was such a unique experience, one that we certainly weren’t expecting when we sat down for dinner! Great food, wonderful people, and a little piece of ancient Rome beneath your feet, what more could you ask for? If you’re in Rome, do yourself a favor and come here. You’ll leave with a full stomach, a big smile, and a story to tell. Grazie mille, Emanuel and Luca, for making our evening so special! Came across this restaurant for a late lunch after a tour of the catacombs. The food was excellent. They had a special of the day of porcini mushrooms.. mama Mia! So good. We went to pay the bill and my husband pointed out the mushrooms in a cabinet.. The owner Antonio then engaged us in conversation as my husband spoke the language. He then took us on a tour under the restaurant to what used to be one of the streets of Rome. It felt very special as we noted the famous photos on the wall of celebrities who have eaten here.
