Felt like a little French getaway in DC! Elegant space that felt bright yet cozy. Our group of 10 had a table tucked into an alcove that felt more intimate. Every item that came out was so thoughtfully prepared for visual presentation and mix of flavors and textures. The Burratta starter was one of my favorites. The watermelon salad was light and refreshing. Generous portions. The creative Cavimisu dessert was extra! It comes in a custom caviar tin with chocolate caviar pearls on a tiramisu with rich espresso. So novel and creative. Our server David was wonderful took great care of us. Go to the bathroom just to see the secret agent wall mural. I saw a group of twenty-something’s arrive and their first order of business was pretty much to head straight over to have a whole photoshoot in front of the Shhh lady. The escargots were easily some of the finest I've had, plump, beautifully seasoned, and drenched in garlicky butter. The foie gras was silky and well-balanced, not too salty. The Petite Bouillabaisse offered a wonderfully rich broth, and the Loup de Mer was cooked with precision; though the fish itself lacked sweetness and juiciness. Desserts were delightful. Add a lively DJ, a buzzing vibe, and amazing service (our glasses never ran dry). We would love to come back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I found Barbouzard while searching for restaurants in the DC area. Me and my friends were so happy I chose this spot, especially with its French-Mediterranean inspired cuisine. Upon arrival we were met with a lovely ambiance and brought champagne. Julio, our waiter was very personable, attentive and advisable! My two friends ordered the escargot, loup de mer au fenouil and daube de boeuf, while I went with the mini tartelettes with ossetra caviar and delectably fresh tasting crab, grilled octopus and the tuna a la tahitienne. To conclude our dinner, the owner, George came over to ask if we were celebrating anything and we ended up with more champagne and a lovely mousse dessert to enjoy the rest of our dining experience. As well as the ambiance, the food and hospitality were greatly noticed and appreciated. Thank you so much for the excellent experience and I look forward to dining here again!
