A pub serving Utsunomiya-style gyoza in the Yaesu North Food Court at Tokyo Station. Enjoy gyoza with thick wrappers filled with coarse-ground meat and creative ethnic dishes. The drink selection is extensive, featuring beer, original lemon sours, Tochigi prefecture sake, and wine. Happy Hour runs until 5 PM for discounted drinks. Orders are placed via touch panel with photos for easy selection. Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Utsunomiya's Basiryu (Bariron) has finally advanced to Tokyo! So I visited on the first day it opened. I love this restaurant so much that I go all the way to Utsunomiya to eat there, and I'm such a core fan that I even grilled some frozen gyoza that I took home last week. The fried gyoza has shiratama powder in its skin and is chewy. The filling is filled with chunks of meat, giving it a special texture and deep flavor. Today I ordered some fried gyoza, and they were well-cooked, with a nice crispness on the grilled surface, and the chewy skin gave it an exquisite texture. (The filling wasn't as pink as usual, so I wonder if I heated it too much?) The price is 858 yen including tax for 5 grilled gyoza. . . expensive. . . Actually, I wanted to try the yuzu ginger soup dumplings and the walnut curry soup dumplings, which were also super delicious, but those were priced in the 900 yen range, so I gave up. I understand that they are adding on the Tokyo price to the Utsunomiya store price of 528 yen, but it is too much. Considering the train fare to Utsunomiya, I think I'll go to the Tokyo branch once in a while, but as things stand now, I think it's difficult to repeat them frequently. With this pricing, it will be difficult to attract customers. I don't think I can go out to eat casually unless it's at least around 600 yen including tax. However, the customer service is good and I support them! The taste is at a level that competes with the best in Tokyo, so I recommend everyone to try it at least once.
