I've been going here for over a year and the owner is very nice and welcoming; I feel right at home every time I've eaten here! I think by now I've tried the whole menu and I can say that everything is exceptional. I live across town and would ride my bike all the way to rio rancho just to get some of that good Filipino food! So worth it, please give it a try! Shout out to this great Navajo tea they were selling! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thank you so much for being part of the Barkadas ABQ family for over a year! It means the world to hear that you feel right at home every time you visit and that you’ve made your way through the whole menu. We’re especially honored that our Filipino food is worth the bike ride all the way from across town to Rio Rancho! We’re also so glad you enjoyed the Dééh Navajo Tea with Prickly Pear from Prickly Foods! It’s one of the many special flavors you can discover at our new La Carinderia location at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, where we’re now part of a unique micro food hall featuring a variety of local food makers.Thank you for supporting us, spreading the word, and continuing to make the trip for that good Filipino food! We can’t wait to welcome you back.

Was hoping for some really good Filipino food. Pancit was ramen noodles with boiled chicken. Ordered the chicken adobo same no sauce on the meat, boiled chicken and rice was minute or success rice. Big let down. The Lumpia were good in both the beef and pork style. It is in a mall food court so no restaurant expectations Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Thank you for the lumpia love — they deserved it Quick education though: Filipino cuisine has regional variety the way Italian food does. You wouldn’t call all pasta the same, right? Our pancit is canton-style, a thick egg noodle sourced from a Filipino supplier not ramen. As for the adobo — adobo is the sauce. It marinates into the meat, it doesn’t pool on the plate. That’s not a flaw, that’s how it works. We’re a mall food stall cooking regional Filipino food from scratch. We appreciate you trying us and we’d love to introduce you to a few more things before you write us off. The lumpia is clearly a good starting point

If you’re in Albuquerque and haven’t tried Barkadas ABQ yet, you’re seriously missing out. The ube cookies were SO delicious, perfectly sweet and soft, I could’ve eaten a whole box! You have to try the lumpias too! Crispy, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. The adobo chicken was also really good, super comforting and packed with flavor. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. I highly recommend checking this place out if you want amazing Filipino food! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
