Loved The Barking Dog! Perfect neighborhood bar vibe. Great food, drinks and service. Chloe and Kelly were very helpful and pleasant too. So glad we found this place! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $20–30

Ordering takeout was a quick and painless phone call. A short walk from the southern Bethesda main drag, the bartender was quick to accommodate me while I waited for the meal to be wrapped up. The food was still hot when I returned home. I ordered the Hickory Smash burger which was excellent in just about every way, although I couldn't find a bit of BBQ sauce on it. This was easily fixed with the copious amounts of sauce packets they included, and while not exactly as described, was incredibly delicious. The fries weren't bad either, and with a little more salt and/or seasoning could've been perfect. Considering that this meal was consumed without any alcohol, it stood very well on its own and provided a good deal of value despite the elevated Bethesda food prices.
