Barnstormer Crashed into the Ground I stopped by the Barnstormer restaurant and ordered a grilled cheese with fries to go..... Wow, what a disappointment. Upon first impression, the place did not smell appetizing nor appealing. It had a very potent urine smell throughout the restaurant. It was unbearable while I waited 15 minutes for my food that should have been done in a third of the time. Only one elder couple was at the restaurant during lunch hours sipping a cup of coffee. It was a weekday and I should have expected to see the place packed. Especially at an airport with tons of people flying in and out by the hour. The place is outdated. The theme of the restaurant is aviation. Rather than watching the airplanes taking off in front of the restaurant being enough with nice decor to look at on the inside, they have pictures and model planes hanging from the walls and ceilings. Not terrible, until upon closer inspection you see a coating of dust, which you know is falling into your food where you sit and eat. Yuck. If they are not willing to clean the front of house, I expect the kitchen to be unclean and unsanitary. After getting my food, I left and will never return because my fries had NO salt, tasted like nothing and the grilled cheese was made with fake cheese. I'm pretty sure they used kraft single melt slices for the sandwich. What a shame! I've had better and I expect better.
