Lovely room with very friendly staff. When we arrived they couldn't find our reservation, but after speaking to Reception all was good. We started with a platter of sausage rolls and focaccia. They were tasty enough but very large and dense. I think a more dainty size would have been better. Then there was a plate of sandwiches which asked to make a couple of substitutes. They were ok but they should have cut the crusts off and the bread didn't seem overly fresh. The scones and individual sweet items were all nice enough. The manager was charming and brought out a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate and some strawberries which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the occasion but thought there was a lack of attention to detail and staff seemed a little disorganised and overwhelmed.

Thought I'd try the small plates in Barossa Bar as the Cairns was closed on the Thursday. £18 fir 3 small plates which is good value. Fish cakes, dirty fries and the chicken were all lovely. Waitress could have been a bit more attentive but on the whole a nice catch up with a close friend.
