I love their happy hour so make sure to sit by the bar area. I had a coke, the duck fat fries, brisket sliders and wings which only cost $24.38. I have to say that all the food were delicious. The food was brought to me in a timely manner and fresh out of the stove. The service was great. I would definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The food here is well thought out, and quite scrumptious... nice portions, and presentation too. It seems a lot goes into the creation of the cocktail and beer menu as well, and it pays off, because the beverages are delectable...not to mention that their beer selection is better than average. Prices are slightly high here, but it's Bethesda and therefore they gotta pay Bethesda rent. The decor is a bit bland, and the tables are a tad too close together... it can get a bit loud in there. Also, the space would be better utilized if a large mirror that extended the length of the wall on the right side of the restaurant was installed; that way, it'd make the restaurant feel a little larger, and it would be of great benefit to the diners that have no choice but to face in the direction of the wall while dining. In addition to making the restaurant seem a little larger, the mirror would also allow those facing the wall to see behind them. A large part of the dining experience is ambiance, and if you're forced to stare at a wall for the duration of your meal...no es bueno. Service is good here, not great... they seem to know the menu well, are attentive, and don't seem to make many mistakes, but we do feel a little rushed at the end of our meals at Barrel & Crow. Still, I'd recommend this joint for their delicious food and flavorful drinks. Cheers!
