It takes a lot for me to want to leave a bad review, but considering how bad the economy is, I don’t want other people wasting their money here. Today I bought an oat milk dirty chai ($7.30 before tax + tip by the way) and the avocado jack wrap. The chai came out, and it was scalding hot to the point of it tasting burnt. For those of y’all who aren’t baristas it’s not easy to make oat milk taste burnt you really gotta abandon it. It would’ve been more understandable if they were slammed, but we were one of 2 orders in line. Point is, I would’ve been embarrassed to serve the drink I received today. We got their wrap to go, and as you can see in the picture it was a soggy mess from the start. And I opened it in the car, not like 20-30 minutes later. And chef. If you can hear me I’m begging you to add literally any flavor to this food. You can start with salt and pepper but it needs something literally anything. One of the most flavorless things I’ve ever eaten :( I waited until I got home and could add seasoning, salsa, and wrap it in a new tortilla for some structural integrity it so desperately needed. However, the employees were kind and the service was fine, it was just the product that was sorely lacking. I’d heard good things about Barriques before, but after today I probably won’t go back. Maybe it was an off day, but there are much better coffee shops in Madison. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
