Bartellas in Meopham is an excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere, fantastic food and outstanding service. The staff, especially Salvo and Aaron, go above and beyond to make sure that every customer has a wonderful experience. The menu offers something for everyone, from delicious starters such as the smoked mussels and prawns to the moules mariniere and the lamb flatbread. The desserts are also divine, with the limoncello tiramisu being particularly noteworthy. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and will even offer to make dishes not on the menu. Bartellas is a great restaurant for special occasions, with the team making sure that each celebration is extra special. Highly recommended!

Our first time here but definitely not the last. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with smiles and friendly staff. We enjoyed a comfortable pre-drink in the bar area. The food ... just wow.... crayfish & prawn cocktail was fresh and delicious. The Leek & Mushroom Wellington was out of this world! We were served with polite & friendly & descreet staff. We returned to the bar area and was in awe of the professional bar staff who interacted whilst creating tantalising cocktails. A definite 5 . Recommend 100% Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Have been coming here for a number of years now. Came for New Years Day. The staff and service are amazing, they really do make you feel so welcome and valued. The cocktails are very good with a great selection to choose from. You aren’t rushed at all which is 10/10 for me. The restaurant itself is very nice and toilets are spotless. Unfortunately there were two things that let this particular visit down slightly (for me) which was the food and ambiance. A prawn cocktail is a very standard starter and so for a restaurant like Bartellas you would expect it to be the best here. Unfortunately the prawns were like tiny shrimp, the sauce was quite bland and they were just scattered on top of some dark green leaves. Also, something crunchy was scattered over the top? For mains I ordered the rack of lamb but for £29 it was a bit disappointing. It came with the tiniest spoonful of mash and a literal scattering of peas. For £29 I expected better accompanying vegetables and at least enough mash just to last as long as the lamb. Also, both the starter and main appeared to have excessive amount's of red paprika? scattered all over them for decoration. We were a fairly large group ourselves including four children, but the noise coming from the table behind us was simply too much. iPads on full volume playing music loud throughout dinner was not enjoyable for us. Not the restaurants fault but just something to note. Food definitely needs improvement, however, everything else was perfection. Whilst I appreciate costs have escalated sadly our lunch on this occasion was very disappointing. Small dough balls had replaced warm rolls (6) and portion sizes were poor. We do not have large appetites by any means but two slithers of calves liver and one very small fillet of trout (believe to have replaced seabass 2) on our last visit looked very mean. Overall the touches and difference of this restaurant would not altogether deter us from re visiting but left with a reluctance to invite friends with larger appetites
