After seeing Masonic Temple, it may be a nice idea to visit this cafe. Good tofu, bao and meatballs will impress you at the first bite. My friend and I just had dinner here for the first time. We arrived within an hour of closing, not my style, considering I’m in the service industry also. But even still, the staff was amazing. I wish I could remember our servers name, he was fantastic! We will definitely be back for the normal dinner menu! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+

My family and I ate here right before a concert. Kayden our server asked if there was any dietary restrictions, I informed him that I was vegan. I had a little anxiety about eating out and being able to be accommodated fully. This restaurant did not disappoint when it came to service or being knowledgeable about their menu. I ordered a cocktail and a gentlemen named Zan came to the table to inform me that one of the ingredients had dairy. I ended up ordering another drink along with the gnocchi. Kayden, Zan, and Ray were all very attentive. Service was great. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

A friend recommended Basan to us as one of his top 3 spots to eat in Detroit. We dined on a date night ahead of comedy show and had a wonderful experience! Faith was our server and had a wealth of knowledge on the menu, guided us in the right direction as my lady has dairy and gluten issues, and gave great recommendations. We had the Mushrooms, Beef Tenderloin, Bacon, and finished with the Potatoes. All uniquely delicious and wonderfully presented. We both agreed the Beef was the best bite. Love what this ownership group does with their restaurants. Its clear their training program for both front of house and back of house Is top notch. Keep up the amazing work!
