Revisited Basilico after quite some time, and it still remains one of my favorite places for spicy oven-baked pasta. This time, we ordered the Jhal Pasta(again)(360 BDT) and Pasta Basta (370 BDT). We made a special request to keep the pasta extra saucy, since a dry base can really affect the overall taste—and they did a good job maintaining that balance. The food was served within 10–15 minutes, along with ketchup, mayonnaise, and chili oil. The Jhal Pasta was the highlight for me—rich, creamy, and generously loaded with chicken, cheese, and mushrooms. Adding chili oil and a bit of mayo enhanced the flavor even more, giving it a perfect spicy and creamy kick. However, the Pasta Basta leaned more towards the sweeter side with mild spice, which didn’t quite match my cousin’s preference. While it still tasted good, it may not appeal to those who enjoy bold, spicy flavors. Overall, if you’re a spice lover, the Jhal Pasta is a must-try. If you prefer a milder, slightly sweet flavor profile, the Pasta Basta could be a better choice.
