Visitor to Bendigo and the Bayleaf was recommended for breakfast. Did NOT disappoint. They were busy but very efficient, breakfast (and coffee) was yummy, and the price was very reasonable.

I previously really enjoyed the quality of food at this cafe, however I have noticed changes the last two visits. The bacon was undercooked and the sourdough bread was like two rocks stacked one on the other, dry and hard. Dukkah eggs were undercooked and it lacked the flavour it previously had. Disappointing.

Excellent zucchini frittas and halumi for lunch. Delicious flavour and very well presented . Good coffee, friendly staff. I have eaten there several times now and always a good experience.
