Excellent food and friendly service. The prices are a bit high but they don't rush you through and are very attentive while we were visiting before and after our meal so we enjoyed our evening very much.
Came here on vacation - fantastic menu with lots of delicious options. We had a couple salads and appetizers which were all beautifully plated and tastrd wonderful. The veal sweetbreads were the most delicious I've ever had. I had the halibut as my main - perfectly cooked with great accompaniments. My group also had the rabbit roulade, pork chop and duck breast. Everything cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Great spot for a celebratory dinner!
I was so excited to try this place out. One of my favorite chefs highly recommended this place to us and told us it was a must experience while we were in town. Chep Spicer is incredible and I was prepared to eat like a king. I'm usually a huge fan of daily menu choices. I really love when the options change and there's always a fresh option. On the day we were there, none of the items really wowed me, so I went totally with our servers recommendations. We started with the goat cheese crouton. That was so good. So so good. It ramped up my excitement for the rest of the meal. What followed was the watermelon salad. That was perfect. Now my excitement is through the roof. We ordered a bottle of wine at this point. I've never declined a bottle of wine in my life, but this bottle was as close as I've ever been. So that was a bummer. For my entree, I had the pork chop. That was our server's recommendation and she told me that chef suggested the chop to be cooked to medium. That's still a bit odd for me because I'm old and for the first 40 years of my life pork was suppose to be cooked well. I took the suggestion though and requested medium per the recommendation. Well, imagine my surprise when it came out well plus. I probably should have sent it back, but it had already taken almost two hours to get our dinner out so I just ate it as it was. The flavor was actually superb. I was just so shocked that the chef would recommend a medium cook then overcook it so much. So after the main course, our original server was replaced with her team. We didn't see her again. Which was a shame because she was great. The following two servers really dropped the ball. We ordered two desserts and two after dinner drinks. Took about 10 minutes to get our drinks, and we just sat there waiting for dessert. When of all things, someone dropped our check off at the table and told us there was no rush. So I asked her if dessert was still on the way. She had the decency to be embarrassed at dropping the check before we had our dessert. 20 minutes later we had our desserts! Neither were freshly made so there were zero reasons for it to have taken a half hour to reach our table. All told, from the time we sat down to the time we left, was three hours. Thankfully we didn't have any plans after dinner or we would have absolutely been late. The restaurant wasn't that busy so I'm not sure why it took so long on everything. I'd like to give it another shot next time we're in town, but so much went wrong I'm leery. Will update if we do go back.
