Robin. We were the only people in the restaurant at lunch time on a week day. The food was good. I had the catfish with greens and fried green tomatoes. My husband had the smothered pork chops. The portions were good. The chops were thin but tasted good. Service was great. The cashier was not very friendly and was difficult when we gave her our groupon and insisted we had to use for 4 people. When we used it all on 2 people. They had to call the owner to get it approved. To we won't be back

Found a Groupon for Beratus on our way through Memphis and thought it would be nice to get some cheap eats, but let me say, this place is worth full price. The staff was so friendly, our waitress was amazing, and the food was out of this world. We had the chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, and some sides and loved it all, so I think you'll be pleased with anything you order. But you NEED to order their fried green tomatoes. It is a moral imperative of the highest degree.
