Thanks for the feedback. We would have loved to have had the opportunity to address your concerns when we had the efficacy to do so. It’s not protocol around here to serve cold food or food that gives people barf-face emoji feelings, and we would have been pleased to have been able to do something about it. In fact, that is protocol around here: rectify the situation. It’s in our handbook. Since we’re on to protocol already, none of our food is pre-cooked and then microwaved. Our food is all pre-cooked and kept in a steam tray. We use the microwave to cook some of the lesser-demanded items that would spoil if pre-cooked and stored for a long time, like the Vegan Carrot Chicago Dog, a bbq micro poached carrot on poppy seed bun with Chicago green relish, dill pickle spear, tomato, sport peppers, onion, mustard and a shake of celery salt.. Perhaps your emoji explains why those babies aren’t just flying out the door and we have to cook them a la minute. Also, our 100% all-beef natural-casing hot dogs from National Coney Company in Detroit are not boiled. They are steamed and kept in a steam tray. The rice is cooked and stored in a rice cooker. We have a 48” kitchen with no hood. We don’t have a fryer, a flat top, a grill or even a waffle iron. So, we’re not quite sure what sort of kitchen qualifies for kitchen-cooked, but if it isn’t something that can be pre-cooked and stored in a steam tray, like our amazing Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo and out-of-this world Vegan Red Beans and Rice (add a link of andouille, if you’re not vegan), then you would be better going down the street to Tiny’s. In fact, we highly recommend Tiny’s for great kitchen-cooked food, and lots of tables. And a killer espresso martini - have Emma make it. It’s magic. She uses unicorn dust, we’re pretty sure.As for the point of your second stanza, it’s moot. We are. The booths, by the way, welcome sitters of all kinds, not just diners. In conclusion, we regret that you had a less than stellar experience and that we were unable to put it right before you left feeling the need to use derogatory emojis to describe what Miller Beach has been calling the single most delicious vegan chicago dog made from a cajun bbq spiced microwave carrot in the history of the Indiana Dunes. Please, whenever you are in the mood for extraordinary pre-cooked food that has been stored in a steam tray, like our Cadillac of Chilis, a hearty portion of our delicious chili con carne with beans, fancy shredded cheese and freshly diced onion, swing on by, sit at the bar, grab a bite and Johnny will make you the laid backiest drink you have ever had. Probably. Have you ever had a Krushian?
