After a walk around Eau Claire Smokestack, many visitors stop by this cafe. Based on the visitors' opinions, espresso is good at The Bean Stop. It is remarkable that the service is regarded as professional.

Pak liked the complex flavours of this drink. She thought the ginger and lemon compliment each other nicely as it balanced out the cabernet and dark chocolate flavours. The sprinkles were a pretty touch.

It's been a mainstay for years, I pop in whenever I'm in Eau Claire -- which unfortunately isn't often these days. This is one of the only places in town to get exotic beans like Jamaican and Hawaiian. You pay a little more but it's not outrageous. The owner is knowledgeable but yes, he has a thing for the French press that I just don't understand. I usually just get my beans and ram them through my home espresso machine, which I'm sure just ticks him right off. But that's how they do it at Granville Island -- Blue Mountain Americano and it rocks. There's a bit of a snob factor here that's at times misplaced but his heart is good. Recommended

I always hit the Bean Stop when I'm near Eau Claire. Today it was an italian soda that tasted like freshly crushed strawberries. The lattes and chai are outstanding. Support a local institution.
