Beechwoods Cafe—well, what can I say? It was a bit like stepping into a time machine and going back to a time when mediocre was the height of ambition. The facilities are, let's just say, vintage. Aged to perfection, if perfection is what you’re aiming for. The food was just as thrilling as the ambiance—plain, dull, and about as inspiring as a grey sky. The all-day breakfast filled a hole, but not one I’d rush to fill again. Tasted about as exciting as wallpaper paste, and twice the price. At least the charcoal on the burnt toast can offset the excess oil from the hashbrowns and fried onions and mushrooms. Coffee? C+ at best. Could have been worse, I suppose. Note to self: next time, read the reviews first. Plenty of better options around. Not one for the highlight reel, that’s for sure."
