Nestled at the end of the upper cliff walk just before descending into the charming town of Beer from the west, Beer Head Bistro is a hidden gem that offers a delightful dining experience. This establishment serves up excellent fresh food with a focus on seafood, vegetarian dishes, and homemade classics. The ambiance is casual and relaxed, with friendly and attentive staff who make diners feel at home. The interior design is unassuming but comfortable, with plenty of outdoor seating available to take in the stunning views of the fields and cliffs overlooking the sea.

The prices are reasonable, and the establishment is licensed, offering a selection of local drinks, wines, and cocktails. Some of the standout dishes on the menu include the half roasted chicken with homemade coleslaw, excellent side salad, and chips; the homemade lasagne; and the seafood platter. Vegetarian options, burgers, fresh pizza, and quiches are also available. For drinks, the establishment offers Devon Rock Craft Lager, a variety of soft drinks, and a nice selection of wines.

Beer Head Bistro is a great place to start or finish a walk along the cliffs to the town of Beer or across Hooken Cliff to Branscombe. It is dog-friendly and offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and evening meals. While it may be situated on a caravan park, this fine dining spot is worth the visit for its delicious food, friendly service, and breathtaking views.

Ate in the Bistro once for an evening meal, twice for breakfast and had a takeaway whilst on a recent holiday. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the bistro itself is dog friendly. I felt the menu offered me enough choice, (I can be quite fussy). Plenty of the ingredients are from the local area making use of other small businesses, which is a great philosophy to be able to have. Would definitely return. Following a recommendation from the owner of our B and B we decided to pay the Beer Head Bistro a visit for a quick bite after a day out with our two spaniels. This is a tucked away gem on a caravan sight and has beautiful sea views. We opted for the vegetarian quiche which was accompanied by delicious chips, coleslaw and salad and I’d definitely go for this again. The quiche didn’t have pastry which is a double bonus for me! Big shout out to the young man who served us, he was really welcoming, very polite and friendly, I didn’t catch his name but he said he hadn’t worked there very long.
