Very kind owner with a very chill and retro aesthetic vibes of a cafe. The Carbonara and Bolognese were satisfying; the Rose Latte and Rose shakerato (black coffee) were very smooth. Definitely would come back again. Price per person: HK$100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Begin Coffee is truly a hidden gem in Mongkok. It takes a little effort to find - tucked away in a small alley, and then four floors up - but that’s part of the charm. Once you get there, you’re rewarded with a cozy, cute space that feels worlds away from the busy streets below. They have both indoor seating and a small terrace, so you can choose between a relaxed café vibe or some fresh air. The coffee is excellent, rich, smooth and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to bring a friend to impress them with your “secret café” discovery. Definitely worth the hunt if you’re in the area!
