Disappointing customer service at La Bodeguita de Beher in La Cañada, Marbella. We ordered two starters and two main dishes. One of the starters (croquetas) was served and charged in the larger/main-meal portion instead of the starter size. Given that we had also ordered two main courses, it was logical and obvious to expect the smaller starter portion — an extra 4 €. We politely explained this in writing using an AI translation tool so the waiter could read it clearly. When the bill wasn’t corrected, the manager was called. Instead of resolving the small issue, he blamed us for not speaking Spanish — despite the written translation — and defended his employee by saying the waiter could not have known we wanted the smaller portion because “maybe you are big eaters”. His defensive attitude and complete unwillingness to acknowledge any mistake left us feeling disrespected. The principle mattered more than the 4 €. We will not be returning.
