BEHIND! What a fabulous concept! A restaurant that feels like you are being cooked for by your best friend! The restaurant is designed to serve the food to all the patrons at the same time. We all had full view of the kitchen and were truly immersed in the dining ritual which made for an entertaining experience. Sharing this food experience with strangers. Nothing disappoints...this brand has got it so right and it really works. Andy Beynon curates his 10 course tasting menu which is so creative and flavoursome, with unexpected deep layers such as; tuna jelly and apple, sturgeon with grape and jalapeño, sardine bolognaise. The red prawn (like prawn toast) was divine eating a prawn head has never been so good or satisfying...! A scallop breakfast with a sauce of smoked kippers on toast, with caviar and a salted croissant. Sea bream with anchovies and courgette 3 ways! Sour apple shots. Salsa verde trifle...IKR! 70% chocolate mousse with black olives and a sesame twill. I chose to have the wine flight and the wines were paired to perfection! What a phenomenally cohesive team you have Behind restaurant dishing out banging food! Plus you can listen to the shipping forecast on the loo! We will be back. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in London. Behind is such a special restaurant. The intimate, almost omakase-style setup around the open kitchen makes the whole experience feel incredibly personal. Every dish was incredible. The menu is seafood-focused and creative without feeling experimental just for the sake of it. There were so many interesting combinations of temperatures, textures and flavours, but everything was still absolutely delicious and beautifully balanced. We also did the wine pairing and loved it. I’ve had pairings at other tasting-menu restaurants that start to feel like a lot by the end, but this was perfectly paced and thoughtfully curated. Every wine complemented the food without overwhelming it. The team really made the night. They explained each course and wine so well, were incredibly warm and welcoming, and took the time to individually check in with everyone throughout the evening. It felt polished and special without ever feeling stuffy. Everything from the food and wine to the pacing, atmosphere and service felt so thoughtfully considered. We left genuinely blown away. Cannot recommend Behind enough and would absolutely come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went for lunch to celebrate my birthday and I was blown away by the inventiveness of the tasting menu. Every course was delicious and really interesting flavours. The service could not have been better. Will definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
