Unfortunately, this is no longer the same Belfre of the past. Something happened with the new ownership. We were there at 6:00 on a Friday night and it was completely dead. I wish we had the foresight to take this as a sign and leave. Our server was friendly but not very polished or refined. We ordered the foccacia bread for an appetizer and it was sliced bread with cheese melted in the microwave on top. There was no olive oil as advertised and the marinara sauce was canned sauce with odd diced sweet peppers on it. My husband ordered the chilled shrimp cocktail which came out steaming hot (probably from a microwave), hot soupy cocktail sauce, on a plate of ice. We’re lucky he didn’t get sick. I ordered the 8 oz steak au poive with roasted potatoes. The waitress warned me it comes sliced; I said that was fine. Well what it was was about 20 ounces of some very odd sliced steak of different cuts, put in the microwave, with a white sauce topped with those diced sweet peppers from earlier. The roasted potatoes had clearly been cooked days prior and microwaved. They had no flavor, salt, pepper, anything. It was so bad we could couldn’t eat any of it and would not pay for that, which we’ve never done before. The waitress claimed to not know the food was microwaved which is simply unbelievable. If I could give it less than a star I would. Avoid at all costs. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Dinner

We had dinner there on 8/19/2026. The food was decent but they were out of both sweet and unsweetened Ice tea. Their website shows a different menu than what is actually on the menu. They also charge $ 6.24 per can of Diet Coke that is truly outrageous. Won't ever go back. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50

Our first visit to Belfre Kitchen since ownership change, happy they were open on Monday. We had reservations, and chose patio seating. 4 of us ordered drinks and dinner- 3 drinks were wines by the glass, so an easy pour. Drinks did not come for the longest time, after some of our food was out. We were told the bar was extremely backed up- the indoor dining had 1 table, everyone else was patio. Our food orders came out at very different intervals, and they were NOT shareables. A beautiful night on the patio was sadly less than ideal with our guests with such service issues. Note, our server was checking in often apologizing for the problems, and they did comp our drinks. I hope this was just an understaffed Monday night following a holiday!
