Had a very nice bruschetta starter followed by steak and fries with a bottle of Malbec all outside under their covered area. Infra red heaters were available. It was a Friday evening so there was quite a bustling atmosphere! The steak was perfectly medium rare as ordered. Prompt and friendly service allowed for a very agreeable evening meal. Very much recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £40–50 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot, Free of charge street parking

Despite the wonderful makeover to this charming local pub, the food consistently falls short of expectation. We ordered from the main evening menu, consisting of 1 x burger, 1 x veggie burger and 1 x chicken caesar salad. The burgers were really underwhelming which was so disappointing as they used to be very good! There was no salad or additions to the burgers, just the patty, pickle, cheese in a stale bun. The chicken caesar salad was not good at all, the croutons were stale burger buns that had been chopped up and fried, and the chicken was hard and chewy with rubbery skin. Most unpleasant. The fries were decent but that shouldn't be hard to get right! A couple of weeks ago we did try the pizza shack and the pizzas were tasty and of better quality than the standard menu. Overall, the meals are expensive for the level of quality, and the drink prices are extortionate. The staff are pleasant and friendly, but sadly, we will not return to the Bell for food, only an occasional drink. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £30–40

Hi DonnaThanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback, unfortunately we don't have a say in the spec for the young's burger as its the same in all young's pubs that goes for the Veggie burger as well, we also have no say in how much the drinks are either, its good that you enjoyed your pizzas when you came in the other time, however its a shame that i don't see a good review on those pizzas, its damaging to a business when people just decide to write negative things for an experience instead of all the good ones they have.all the bestMatt HardingGM
