Drove all the way from Manila to rekindle an old craving from my favorite restaurant as a kid - Sushi-ya. My parents would bring us there every Sunday. The Chicken Teriyaki and fried rice still taste as good as before. Thank you to the gentle and kind staff as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₱1–500

New fave Japanese spot unlocked! Had an awesome dinner at Ben-San along Friendship Highway! We made a reservation thru Facebook (good thing we did!). We got there around 7PM on a Friday and the place was almost full. Ambience is cozy and perfect for family dinners, groups, or date nights. Food was chef’s kiss! The Salmon Sashimi was super fresh and melts in your mouth, the Beef Teppanyaki was juicy and tender, the Kani Salad had generous dressing, and the Jurassic Roll with scallops and eel, a must-try. Everything hit the spot. And surprise! There’s a hidden bar at the back called Yor Speakeasy! Chill vibe with couches, great cocktails, and even a DJ by 9PM. We tried the Amaretto Sour and The Rattlesnake and The Ant, both really good. Bonus: they have a spacious dedicated parking area at the back of the resto so no stress finding a spot. Overall, solid experience from dinner to drinks. Will definitely be back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱500–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
