We have been waiting to go here for ages and finally we got a reservation. Fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere, and fantastic service. Super friendly and helpful staff and the food is outrageous. Best chicken 'kebab' in town! Love the querkiness of the restaurant, it's twisty staircase and rustic feel of its interior. Sat at the sharing table on the second floor which looks out onto Borough market itself. Chose the lunch set menu and everything from the different breads and spreads to the kebabs were second to none. Highly highly recommended and really friendly staff too. They use the scan to pay too which makes things much easier instead of waiting for the card reader. Thumbs up will return. We went to Berenjak Borough on a Wednesday evening after work. We were sat at the counter and had the view over all food prep which was pretty interesting. Since we’re seated so close to the grill etc we were expecting to feel smelly afterwards but the ventilation was great. The food was the best Persian we had so far in London. Bread, meat, starters etc all were great. The only put off is that you may find the prices are higher compared to other restaurants but portions are decent.
