It’s raining in Fukuoka. Walking along the river bank and walking into Berkeley, which is hidden in Kawabata Shopping Street, I wanted to try my luck. After checking the reviews, the latest one was still the photo of the back pain notice at the door and the sad and indignant text about the bad news. Fortunately, I don’t know when they reopened. The restaurant was filled with nearby office workers. Everyone took off their suits and ate the fragrant curry rice on the plate. Seeing this scene, I quickly sat down. Ordered the signature hamburger steak curry. Although the space in the store is cramped and old, it is very comfortable. The speaker plays Kadoda Yorimei’s Dance All Night (a cover of Cui Taijing’s but it’s a pioneering song). The magical melody made me hum a few words in my head, and as the music ended, smoking hot curry rice was brought out from behind the door curtain. First, take a spoonful of sauce and rice (yes, I am a no-mix pie). The spicy and thick sauce is wrapped in the steamed and fluffy but slightly sticky Japanese rice. The delicate spiciness in your mouth begins to be mild and sexy. It teases your taste buds and appetite, just like the neon-lit joyful and gentle land of Central Continent after night falls (let me state in advance that I have not been there), leaving you wanting to take another bite after another. Then use a fork to cut open the hamburger steak, and the juice flows out from the minced meat along with the heat. It is different from the loose, greasy and useless hamburger steak that has been popular in recent years. It has a solid texture and a rough flavor. Not only is the outside fried to a crispy aroma, but the meat inside is full and not fishy. You can also taste the sweetness of chopped onions and carrots when chewing. It reminded me of my late grandfather’s specialty carrot patties. The process does not require the use of red ginger to change the flavor. The train called appetite just passes the station without stopping, heading straight to the end of the empty plate, and I am not willing to leave even a drop of sauce. After walking out of the store, the rain just stopped, and I won 200¥ at the lottery shop next to me. It seems that I have taken all the good things. That's really embarrassing!
