The prices are surprisingly affordable, considering the high quality of the food and service. The owners, Alba and David, provide personalized customer service that makes guests feel at home. The establishment is quite small, so reservations are recommended. Overall, Betula Nana is a must-visit fine dining spot for anyone looking for a unique culinary experience in Granada.
Great food and very personal service. The risotto was amazing, best I had in my life. Make a reservation before you go here Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Possibly the best dining experience we’ve had in all of Spain (noting we prefer smaller local eateries to Michelin stars). The restaurant itself is central, close to the cathedral but away from the busier tourist streets. The setting is lovely, with some nice touches but unpretentious, with half a dozen tables and a small open kitchen. The chef is fantastic - every dish was unique and so well put together. There was a choice of 4 starters and 5 mains (plus a special) and between 5 of us we tried 7 dishes and loved every one of them. Washed down with some very nice godello and a decent ribero with the divine beef tataki. Desserts were also tasty. Service was excellent and price very reasonable for the quality. If you’re a foody and in Granada, don’t miss out! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It turns out that after several attempts, on a day like yesterday, February 2nd, I managed to make a reservation to go to dinner at a very special place. Special because it is not easy to find an eclectic cuisine, but at the same time brave and coherent without falling into crazy tricks to justify in the end prices that are not at all justifiable, that's what I call Honesty! Yes Honesty, with the kitchen itself and with the diners. Well, this place, small, cozy, not with many tables, allows excellence from its small kitchen, both for the quality of the product and for the empathy of its hostess, Alba, at the front of the room, in the stove beating copper. , David, slowly but surely, moves with skill and subtlety to finish the orders in a masterful way, going completely unnoticed. Have you ever been to a restaurant where some form of stress is not distilled, especially from the kitchen? Here you have a very clear example, there it is nothing. A menu where you can go through Asian or Mexican cuisine while crossing the Mediterranean or traveling to the north of Spain, will make your senses explode together with its speed and good timing in landing the succulent delicacies for our delight. The menu is renewed and that is why I will not talk or post photographs of the dishes, it is always better to travel to the palate with our imagination. I am captivated! Even its name "Betula Nana" which comes from the Greek, Betula (Birch) and Nana (Dwarf) is more than suggestive, because once you have lived the experience its spell will make you feel not like a Dwarf Birch, but like a Giant Sequoia!! It had been a long time since I was in a place that could give me and offer me so much with so little. Betula Nana, next to the Plaza de Los Lobos, where else?, than in Granada!
