The burgers were good and I'm kinda sad it shut down. But this is a place where the customer was "never right". I think the owner didn't take his meds. Guess who was the first customer at the new location for Between the Bun - Burgers, Dogs and More? I even beat Liz Biro to the place! Tired of fighting all the mechanical and road construction problems of the Greenwood location (and lack of accessibility, parking, and no patio), the owners of BTB decided to take over the former Teddy's Burger joint at Southport and SR37 (about a block west on Southport behind the Anytime Fitness). The space is huge and is so much better than the old space. The benefits now include: Lots of outdoor seating with picnic tables; loads of room inside the building including an indoor fireplace that will be popular once the weather cools; lots of free parking on the west side of the building; no stairs to climb to get into the place!; lots of windows so that you can see the sun on nice days; high ceilings to make the place feel open and not so crowded; spacious restrooms; and in development, a party room that will be available to reserve in the near future. But fear not! Even with all the changes, the burgers are still great! I tried the Brickyard Burger and it was delicious! I will caution you that if you are a small-mouthed eater (Nicole, I mean you!), you will struggle with this burger. It is huge and piled high with flavor! It comes loaded with a half pound burger that is hand made and marinated in their own seasonings (dipped and deep fried), and topped with cheddar cheese, Wisconsin White cheddar curds, smoked crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, a thick white onion slice, a dill pickle slice, and topped with their spicy Spitfire Ranch sauce served on a Pretzel Bun! Whew! I also ordered a side of Tots which come spiced unless you ask for them to be just salted or unseasoned. And if you aren't into burgers even at this award winning burger place, you can order any of their flavor combos and substitute a veggie burger, a turkey burger, or chicken breast at no additional cost. That is very cool! There are also a variety of hot dog combos available and other sandwiches, sides, and salads. No reason to go hungry here! Great new place with the same great flavors. I like it!
