I recently dined at Fuoco Rooftop, where the menu mostly features grill specialties. The waitress knew very little about the meat being served and was unable to make recommendations based on flavor intensity. When I asked whether her recommendation-a T-bone steak-was dry-aged and intense or milder in flavor, her response was that they cut every steak to order so it was 'always fresh'... whatever that means. However, that was not the worst part. We ordered potatoes as a side dish. They tasted as if they had been pre-cooked and reheated before serving, rather than freshly prepared. They were completely inedible. After I pointed this out, the waiter admitted that they cook them in the afternoon and simply reheat them before service. This is absolutely unacceptable given the venue's location and prices. A 3 or 4-star hotel anywhere in Europe can serve a fresh batch of fries cooked to order in 20 minutes. It is absurd that a 5-star luxury hotel restaurant in Capri cannot manage to do the same. We will not be returning, nor will we recommend it to anyone. Stunning location, but the cuisine and service are simply not up to standard. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

We received the best service of our lives at Fuoco. The staff are incredible welcoming and the hospitality was truly out of this world. The attention to the guests is amazing. Refilling your water and wine at a great pace. The prices were on the more expensive side however, we would come here again and happily pay what we did. Truly an incredible dining experience and can greatly recommend this to everyone! Price per person: €100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We arrived to a beautiful setting! The restaurant manager greeted us and showed us the chef area and the sushi bar. Then took us to our table. The server and support staff were very polite. Then we wanted to order certain sushi off the menu and the server told us we could only order if we were sitting at the sushi bar, which literally 10 steps from our table. The reason it couldn’t be ordered was it wouldn’t be fresh enough by the time it reached us at the table. Why have it on the menu if it’s not available to order? We ordered the Tomahawk steak, presentation was nice but the meat itself was tough. We also ordered the skirt steak which was very good. Lastly, we ordered 2 Coke Zero and the server brought us regular Coke. We told him, it was regular Coke and he argued with us saying we were mistaken. We told him, it didn't taste like Coke Zero, and then finally came back with the correct Coke Zero. He told us, he didn't let the other bottles go to waste and he drank them. I think the restaurant has great potential. My feedback is, it’s new to La Palma and everyone should working at the restaurant to do its best to accommodate the guests. Make it user friendly. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €90–100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
