Do not leave without tasting nicely cooked vegetable salads, steaks and hamburgers. The good staff welcomes guests all year round. Nice service is something visitors appreciate here. When you enter this place, pay your attention to the charming atmosphere. But this restaurant hasn't got a high rating from Google users.

It was a Saturday night. My husband and I had spent the day exploring the countryside, forest, and ocean in Chiba Onjuku. By the time we left, it was already around 6:30pm and we were quite hungry. We had already decided on “Big Boy (ビッグボーイ)”, so even though the nearest location was over an hour’s drive away, we still went for it! We arrived at around 7:40pm. The restaurant was full, but luckily we didn’t have to wait. We were seated right in front of the kitchen window, which was actually really nice to watch. To be honest, the salad bar didn’t really appeal to us this time, so we skipped it. Instead, we ordered Butter Sautéed Spinach & Corn (ほうれん草とコーンのバターソテー) and Fried Chicken (4 pieces) & Fries (4個鶏のから揚げ＆ポテト) to share. For mains, my husband ordered the Handmade Hamburg Steak Doria (手ごねハンバーグドリア), and I chose the 250g Flame-Grilled Cheese Oval Hamburg Steak (250g 炙りチーズ大俵ハンバーグ). After about 12 minutes, the fried chicken and fries arrived first. The chicken pieces were a bit small, but they were crispy on the outside and very soft and juicy inside, we both enjoyed them a lot. The fries were also great, thin, crispy, and exactly how I like them. About 5 minutes later, the rest of the dishes arrived. The Butter Sautéed Spinach & Corn was simple but tasty, with a nice portion size. My husband’s Handmade Hamburg Steak Doria looked rich and indulgent. The combination of cheese sauce and meat sauce, together with the soft and juicy hamburg steak and rice, was absolutely perfect. We both loved it, he even said it’s now his number one favourite doria! My 250g Flame-Grilled Cheese Oval Hamburg Steak also looked very appetising. It came with two large 100% beef patties, a small iron hot plate, and a choice of sauce, I chose the onion sauce. Since I’m currently pregnant, I’m careful about undercooked meat. When I cut into the patties, they were a bit pink, so I used the hot plate to cook them further. Even when fully cooked, they were still surprisingly soft, juicy, and full of rich, meaty flavour. The cheese melted even more as I grilled it, which made it even better. The onion sauce paired really well, though I do wish they had given a bit more from the start. We both left feeling very full and satisfied. Even though this restaurant isn’t near where we live, we’d definitely be happy to take another road trip just to come back again!
