This restaurant is a right choice if you are in the mood for the Caribbean cuisine. Try perfectly cooked red snapper, stuffed crab and risotto at Big Fish. It's a pleasant experience to taste good che. Delicious tequila, beer or wine are waiting for you at this place. The whole impression won't be complete without coffee that is great here.
Musicians make live music in the evening. The friendly staff shows a high level of quality at this spot. Fine service is something visitors appreciate here. I stopped for a quick lunch in this place. They have a lot of options for reasonable price. I took the Salmon with mango sauce. It was very good. I can't say the same about my Margarita. I think I'll give them a second chance.

Want to see the sunset and a crocodile? This is the place to go. We came for dinner and we found the food to be inauthentic. As appetizers, we ordered the guacamole and coconut shrimp. For our entrees, we ordered the fish in butter and garlic sauce, fish and shrimp tacos. We also topped the night off with some margaritas (hehe). We only enjoyed the guacamole and coconut shrimp--everything else could go. The fish was not tasty and the margaritas were watered down. For the experience, I would recommend. But for the food...meh...try another restaurant or only come for basic appetizers.

We went walking down the street from our hotel at the Royal Sunset looking for a sunset happy hour and dinner. We stumbled upon Big Fish and it was suspiciously empty but the seating right on the water at sunset was too much to pass on. This place ended being one of the great gems we found on our trip! Jose our waiter was hilarious and brought out for us a free round of Tequila shots for the table. On the lagoon side of the street we got to play with their 2 "pet" crocodiles Daisy and Coco that swam right up to us. The food turned out amazing where we ordered an entire deep fried fish, salmon, lobster risotto, calamari, stuffed crab, and steak. Then my friend Christa who was chatting with our waiter Jose, who turned out to be a seasoned salsa and Cumbia dancer, pulled Christa onto the dance floor and a dance party ensued. Cancun is a city that is over commercialized and it was refreshing to find this amazing local run spot that had seating right on the lagoon overlooking the sunset, a truly memorable wait staff, and great food. The 8 of us spent 3+ hours laughing, eating, and having a great time. We compared it to discovering a great band before the public at large finds out about them! Unassuming on the side of the road you got to give this place a shot.
