The Big R Restaurant was amazing. We tried the traditional “Jiggs” dinner. If you go there splurge and add the roast beef. It was amazing. The people were so friendly, the service excellent and the food so delicious. The meal was served with a gravy boat for each of us. My granddaughter ended up being admonished by her mother for dipping her hands in the gravy. She loved it so much. Then dessert of chocolate cake. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sometimes it is those little places that just continue day in day or making great food with care and attention. They know they are going to get a loyal fan base and keep them. The staff are friendly and amazingly nice. Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

This place went down hill.. Just had order of fish and chips with gravy.. it was horrible.. the fish was nothing but scraps and the fries was cooked over and over and over and gravy was all lumpy. I hate vinegar but in order to eat it, I had to add vinegar to it. Whatever oil they cook their food in, they should change it. it leave a gross taste in your mouth after.. Wont be eating there again, grew up on Big R's
