The service is fast and friendly. The food is just average, but normal I would say for a truckstop. However, I ordered an open face roast beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes and a Dr Pepper. The sandwich with cheese peppers and onions was 14.95 typical nowadays i guess? but I was charged $2.50 for the side of potatoes another three dollars for the soft rink after a 15% tip. Dont let looks fool you. This isnt much to look at roadside, however my son and I like to try new places and Big Rig 2 has been on my list for years. Mom and Pop Diner vibe with an usually large menu. Its snug seating indoor, outdoor seating as well, though you will have smokers present. Found parking pretty easy, some folks were also in the grass. Server told us to grab a table wherever we'd like. Menu has a lot to choose from- went with a NY dog and burger with mozzarella sticks as an app. Everything was great! My son said the cheese sticks had good cheese pull, his burger and fries were more than enough for him, he couldnt eat it all. I had the all beef hit dog with kraut and mustard. Best hot dog ever IMO. Ordered chili cheese fries to share - this was huge and could have been a meal itself. Drinks refilled regularly and she provided to go cups too- its 100+ degrees when we went. Its an older smaller diner (feels like old Florida), if you like fancy chains, this may not be your place. But your missing out on some great food at a good price and good portions (almost too much).
