BIGWAY becomes my entire personality and it shows. I'm a regular at Richmond bigway I'm definitely biased for saying this is my favorite location. Once again, it's hard to mess up your food when you're the one picking the items and broth. Tomato broth never disappoints it's everyone's safe choice. Good location, you can walk around Lansdowne/Richmond Centre after you finish eating (you'll need the walk trust me). Same as the other bigway locations, weekdays (mon-fri) before 5pm, are happy hours you get a free drink (depending on what they offer). Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sauce Bar, Tomato Based Soup Broth, DIY Hot Pot Dietary restrictions: You get to choose your own food. Pick the things you like or can eat.

Great service, lots of options, and good food quality and soup base. However what I have in my photos is very expensive. I'd probably should be smarter next time as I was hungry that day without eating anything. The amount I had felt like it was meant for 2. The waitlist is extremely long so book ahead. The tables are a bit tight but nothing to complain too much about. I'd recommend boiling point if you want something more affordable, or don't be like me grabbing items that absorb water.

What a unique experience! Get into the online queue to make the wait more convenient. Once you make it inside, do not be overwhelmed. Just wait for the hostess to brief you and give you your bowl and tongs. Then head over to all the ingredients and choose what you’d like to add to your bowl. The items are charged by weight. When you’re done, head over to the cash register where you choose your broth (we had tomato and miso). They give you a number and you go to put it on your table. Then head over to the sauce station where you can choose your favourite sauces or follow the posted “recipes” to make some special combos. After a quick while, the very efficient and organized servers bring your hot soup with your ready to eat ingredients you selected inside. Delicious! After dinner you will be presented with a free chocolate cone. How much fun is that?? Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
