Really sad to say that last night was probably our last night visiting Billiards. We’ve been going there for about 3 years, and it’s always been our go-to spot. We actually met there, so going back has become a little tradition for us, which makes this even more disappointing. Nick, one of the bartenders, knows us. I’ve ordered the exact same drink for THREE YEARS. I understand they were a little busy last night, but business is business. If I had ordered a Long Island or another mixed drink, it would’ve taken just as much time to make. My drink isn’t cheap either, and I only ever order ONE. I wasn’t trying to order several complicated drinks or sit there slamming them down all night. Instead, when I tried to order my usual drink, I was straight-up told, “Not tonight.” I was honestly confused. We waited for a pool table, and when my boyfriend asked why I didn’t have my usual drink, I told him Nick refused to make it. He genuinely didn’t believe me because we’ve been regulars there for years. When we went up to get our pool table, he asked Nick himself if I could get my drink, and Nick just shook his head and said no. On top of that, no server ever came to our table to ask if we wanted anything. We played one game and left. It’s not even about one drink. It’s the way the situation was handled after being loyal customers for years and having so many memories there. We’ve always enjoyed coming in, spending our money, playing pool, and supporting the business. To suddenly be treated like my order wasn’t worth making was disappointing and honestly made us feel unwelcome. Definitely not how we expected our little 3-year tradition there to end.
