Bill's Drive-In has been around for a very long time and even been featured in a Chicago Hot Dog documentary, so it is a reasonable to assume, "Don't change a thing". Sadly, it has changed hands and the quality of the meal doesn't commiserate to what made Bill's so famous. The hot dog tasted old and somehow waterlogged. Chicago hot dogs are supposed to have a snap to their casing but sadly, it was more mushy than anything else. The bun, while not being a poppyseed bun is forgivable - it was clearly steamed in a water bath that is too hot - probably another reason the hot dog is mushy. The bun is old and mushy as well. The topping for a Chicago Dog is neon green relish, onion, celery salt, tomato, pickle and a sport pepper. The relish is the type of relish that you see at a picnic. The topping looked like they sat around and wilted. Sadly, I wish Bill's was better than it is now - but times have changed and it is time to move on from this place. I’ve been going to Bill’s since 1970 and have never had a BAD meal until today! New owners changed the type of hot dogs they use (nasty) low quality. The hamburgers were over cooked and the hamburger buns were hard. The staff is rude and have no idea of what Bill’s grill was about or what it meant to it’s customers! If it stays open past two months I’ll be shocked! I won’t be going back as I’m sure most of the regular customer base won’t return either. It’s a sad day for Bill’s Grill Diners!

Used to be really good-now they cheaped out, dirty
Not so new owners run a dirty filthy operation and have cheapened the ingredients. No longer serving good quality meats. Discontinued use of Leon's hot dogs.
Premises and trash containers are always full and staff ignores this. Bill would disapprove.
