Food was very tasty, but was a little haphazard, with not a great deal of room with people squeezed together whilst waiting for the carvery, service could be better after being asked to move from our table, which wasn't a problem, but was put by the door leading to outside which was blowing a draft through, when asked if could be closed a bit, the member of staff was not too happy saying its warm inside, but reluctantly did so, other than that experience wasn't too bad, carvery was a reasonable price Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Having been working in Stafford for the last week, my colleagues and I were eager to find a local pub which would allow us to escape a hard-day's work. We frequented the Bird in Hand most nights and we all enjoyed the warm welcome, competent selection of ales and larger and 'bar snacks,' we were all massive fans of the Scotch eggs & rolls - there is also Sky Sports in the bar which was a nice addition, but did not consume the whole pub. The staff were very friendly and engaging, they added real value to our evenings - we all hope to return again soon!
