Omgeebers, we had a ball at Bird&Batter. Such a cute and intimate restaurant . The food was to die for. Everything you've heard that was good is true. The wait was not long and the service was impeccable. Top 5 brunch spots, you gotta try. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time trying, started getting busy after we arrived. You order and pay for food first, then they give you a number and bring the food to your table. This is great help with confusion of who is going to pay what. Just open so no alcohol for brunch drinks. Ordered the blackened salmon, grits and I tried my sister deviled eggs. I don't eat tomatoes so they removed them with no problem from my salmon and grits. The devil eggs were not bad, but just okay. I asked for extra cream sauce for salmon, received with no problem. The parking sucks, depends on when you come street parking can be scarce. I didnt mind walking a little bit to get there. Food made up for the walk. Will definitely be back to try something different. Oh yeah I arrived on a Saturday at 10:30am EST to give you an idea of parking. Service from staff was top tier, cashier answered any and call questions when trying to figure out what to order.

Tried out a brunch spot this weekend that’s been on my list, and I have mixed feelings. First, the space is BEAUTIFUL. The aesthetic is definitely giving elevated café vibes; very curated, very Instagram-worthy. Just know going in, it’s not your traditional sit-down brunch. You order first and then grab a seat, which can be a bit of a gamble. When we arrived, the line was about four groups deep, and you’re basically hoping a table opens up by the time you finish ordering. Luckily, we did end up finding seating. Now for the food there were some highs and some misses. The salmon and grits were a standout. The grits were super flavorful, creamy, and cooked perfectly. We also tried pancakes, chicken sausage, and eggs; solid, but nothing that really stood out. I ordered the steak chimichurri sandwich with breakfast potatoes, and honestly, this is where things fell flat. The sandwich lacked flavor, and while the potatoes were okay, they didn’t really make up for it. The fried chicken was cooked well (after a second attempt), but it leaned more sweet than savory, which seemed to be a trend across a few dishes. One downside that really stuck out, we realized after getting home that we never received the deviled eggs we ordered. Unfortunately, there’s no phone number available to call, so there wasn’t an easy way to get that resolved. Overall: gorgeous space, a few strong dishes, but some inconsistencies in flavor and experience. Worth trying once for the vibe, but I’d be a bit more selective with what I order next time.
