Compa Mt Hawthorn – A Cozy Italian Gem Worth Returning To Tucked away in Mt Hawthorn, Compa delivers the kind of honest, heart-warming Italian food that feels like it’s been passed down through generations. I started with the antipasto plate, a lovely selection of cheeses and cured meats. The quality was spot on—rich, salty, and fresh—though a little more variety spread throughout the dish would’ve elevated it even further. Still, a great start. Next up was the carpaccio, and this one hit the mark. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, balanced perfectly with peppery rocket, shaved parmesan, and a light dressing that tied it all together. For the main, I couldn’t resist the Calabrese pasta with pork, and honestly—it was absolutely to die for. Deep, rustic flavours, beautifully cooked pasta, and a sauce that tasted like it came straight from Nonna’s kitchen. Comfort food perfection. Dessert sealed the experience with a pistachio cheesecake slice that was pure heaven. Creamy, nutty, and just sweet enough. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

For what we paid for the food was average but thought we should of got more and the meat we had was very under cooked. Would not be in a hurry to dine there again. Very disappointed.

Lovely friendly unpretentious restaurant with exceptional Italian food. Will definitely return for another authentic taste of Italy.
