Biryani Wala offers tasty biryani along with a good range of Chinese dishes and a satisfying buffet. Food quality is consistent, flavors are rich, and portions are decent. Service is quick, and it’s a great place for both casual dining and group meals. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Review for Biryaniwala - Dominion Rd On 12th February 2026, just after 5pm, my daughter, a friend, and I ate from the buffet at Biryaniwala on Dominion Road. We had the butter chicken and red curry. After being there for about an hour and a half, we began feeling unwell. Later that evening, all three of us ended up at Auckland Hospital with vomiting and diarrhoea. This was a very distressing experience, especially having my daughter become so sick. I am sharing this review to raise awareness and encourage the restaurant to review their food handling and hygiene practices to ensure this does not happen to anyone else. Don't no eat there

Visited Biryaniwala today and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The food was strictly average—drumsticks were undercooked, the biryani was overwhelmingly sour from excessive lime juice, and the chicken was rubbery and hard to chew. It wasn’t the kind of meal you could enjoy comfortably. On top of that, the dining space felt cramped and uncomfortable. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.
