I have heard wonderful things about Bishnu in Jumonji, Akita, so I was very excited to try it. Service was quick and the wait staff were lovely. It was nice to be able to watch them making the naan in the back and the kitchen chatter. It felt homely and warm. I didn’t find the food particularly remarkable and I thought it was quite dull. The naan was delicious, but the rest just felt flat. I hope that my experience was a fluke and it was just an odd day though. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000
