I'm a fan of their coffee, pastries, soups, and sandwiches, so I do not mind even though their prices are on par with big -ish city cafes. Sometimes I recommend this cafe to friends and I also bring family member/s here. However, yesterday April 19th was a different story. I introduced and brought a friend here, and we both ordered a bowl of corn chowder which turned out to be overwhelmingly salty. We just couldn't finish it so we tried to add crackers hoping the taste would even out.. but that did not work. We let the staff know but the she offered was to dilute it with water, which wasn't really a fix. We declined adding water to the chowder so they offered us pastry as replacement, and we accepted. She took the 2 bowls away and returned with ONE plate (with one slice of banana bread) and TWO forks, and it became awkward to share. The experience was a bit of a letdown. It wasn't the impression I wanted to give my friend of this cafe. Service: Dine in Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
