Tucked away in the heart of Palermo, Bisso Bistrot is a fine dining spot that offers traditional Sicilian cuisine with a modern twist. The establishment's warm ambiance and friendly service make it a popular choice among locals and tourists alike. The interior design is simple yet elegant, with exposed brick walls and vintage decor. Prices are reasonable, making it an affordable option for those on a budget.

Bisso Bistrot's menu features a variety of dishes, including the Norma pasta, involtini di pesce spada (swordfish rolls), and couscous with fish. For drinks, the establishment offers a variety of cocktails, soft drinks, and wines, including the house wine, which is a great value for the price.

One of the standout dishes is the Polpette di Broccolo, which are minced cauliflower balls with a cheesy flavor. Another must-try is the Baccala in Verdure in Pastella, which are pieces of codfish and a celery-like vegetable dredged in a light, airy tempura-like batter, deep-fried, and served with a creamy aioli sauce for dipping.

Bisso Bistrot's location in the Quattro Canti area makes it a convenient stop for those exploring the city. The establishment also offers outdoor seating, perfect for people watching while enjoying a meal. Overall, Bisso Bistrot is a great choice for those looking for delicious, affordable Sicilian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere.

Based on a trusted travel guide recommendation, we sought out Bisso Bistrot—and it exceeded expectations in every way. Perfectly located at the Quattro Canti, it offers an authentic Sicilian experience far from the typical tourist traps. It was excellent on both of our visits—lunch and dinner. We enjoyed great pasta, fish, salad and soup that were simply outstanding—dishes that felt genuinely homemade, reminiscent of traditional family cooking. The cuisine stays true to Sicilian roots, with thoughtful reinterpretations that remain accessible and honest. Prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the location (and quality, of course). Service is excellent. The staff was consistently friendly, fast, and helpful, even though we don’t speak Italian. Despite not having a reservation, we were accommodated at the narrow bar along the wall, and the experience remained impeccable. This looks like a place where locals and informed travelers alike gather. Do consider booking in advance—it gets busy for good reason. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Not a very nice place. Treated us like 2nd class citizens - no bread on the table (everyone else (Italians) had it) and they then charged us caperto. We said we didn't want to pay it as we had not had any bread, oils salt, pepper etc but they refused to remove it and told us it was an Italian tax that we had to pay. If they're that hard up (4 euros) we feel sorry for them....
