I had brunch at Bistro Rosa. The place looks beautiful, and it's located in an amazing, quiet neighborhood. The coffee was good! we had iced coffee, which was refreshing under the sun. However, I had significant issues with the brunch menu. Does this place advertise itself as place to the elderly, or is it trying to offer something new and big in Basel? I ordered an omelet with Speck, which was tasty, but the portion was very small. Serving it with a slice of cucumber and tomato seemed a bit ridiculous, it felt more like a bed & breakfast motel meal in the middle of nowhere or even a hospital. I felt I paid too much for too little. Even the slice of bread and butter, served in a take-away style, was disappointing; I left hungry. The place lacked creativity; when you come for brunch, expect nothing exceptional. Overall, regarding the food, I was disappointed. There seems to be a lack of research on brunches, food, portions, and creativity. I'm sorry for my review, but I have to be honest. I wish you all the best. Such a peaceful and sweet place. We sat outside with my dog, and they brought him a bowl of fresh water as soon as we arrived. Super thoughtful and honestly just made me like the place even more. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
