This was our FIFTH attempt to go here in four months. Incredibly unprofessional to keep randomly closing. Call them and make sure they’re open before you go. After reading more recent reviews, I suspect that the “closings due to all employees being sick” or “closed because we have to train all new staff” may be due to how the staff may have been treated. Either way it’s a huge red flag all around. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We attended this restaurant for Mother’s Day last year. We noticed there were several items missing from the buffet than what was advertised. When we asked, they said they had more reservations than expected and had to cut items from the menu. To make matters worse, the price was more expensive than what was advertised. On a matter of principle, they should have dropped the price if anything- not raised it. Very expensive for mediocre food. Elegance and comfort even on a dreary rainy day. That is the sentence that comes to mind about my experience at Bistro on the Falls. I unexpectedly ended up there today for their Sunday brunch. I didn't have a reservation, but my situation was pretty sad for the day and I was really hoping that there was a slight chance they could squeeze in one more person. The wonderful hostess, Sherry, went above and beyond to accommodate me. I could tell the manager was skeptical and slightly concerned about trying to fit me in with so many reservations on the schedule, but Sherry refused to have me walk away disappointed and was determined to "make it work". She sat me at this cozy little half-bench/half-table next to their bar area that had a perfect view of all the action. She had the server, James, wait on me. He was extremely personable and attentive and made me feel like I was just as important as his tables with larger parties. The other staff members were all very friendly and professional, right down to the helpful and kind lady working the carving station. The staff worked continuously to make sure dirty plates were quickly removed and drinks were not empty. More than once staff members told me to let them know if I needed anything. The offerings were a suitable and appropriate variety with an elegant presentation. Of particular eye catching appeal was the fruit table with plentiful fresh fruit selections along with several other items including savory meats and cheeses. The petite size desserts were so artistically beautiful that I could not help but try them all. I even tried Eggs Benedict for the first time since it was the only time it ever looked appealing to me since it wasn't drenched in sauce (and I will be having it again). Although, I did not try every item available, everything I tried was delicious. I personally would like to recommend the Prime Rib that was expertly seasoned in my opinion, making it very flavorful (and it pairs deliciously with the macaroni and cheese!), and the French Toast that had such a pleasurable cinnamon flavor that I forced myself to get another piece even though I was already more than full. At the end of my meal I had the opportunity to speak to the Owner (and Executive Chef), who I found to be kind, charming and deserving of respect for the obvious hard work he has done bringing successful and vigorous life back into a beautiful and well deserved property. Everyone at Bistro on the Falls made me feel like a true "Guest", not just another person. Nowadays, that is hard to come by, and I praise them all for their hard work. I am anxious to return and try their dinner service (they normally open at 4pm), and perhaps get an opportunity to enjoy their outdoors dining, on a not so rainy day.
